Ecumenical week in Zagreb and Osijek

Komentiraj

From the 15th to the 26th of January, an Ecumenical Week was held in Croatia. Our parishes in Zagreb and Osijek were part of this ecumenical fellowship. On January 20, 2016, The REC Good Shepherd church in Osijek held an evening prayer for Christian Unity within this framework of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The focus of the Evening Prayer was Christian fellowship which we as followers of Jesus Christ already have by being linked with our Savior. The prayer was attended by representatives of six Christian denominations. At the end of the Evening Prayer, representatives of the denominations had a chance to share an appropriate message. Bishop Jasmin Milic took part in the prayer services at the Osijek Baptist Church and with the Catholic prayer group ,Peace. In Zagreb, our Fr. Jasmin Koso attended the prayer services in the Baptist Church, Roman Catholic Church, and the Serbian Orthodox Church. In the Roman Catholic Church of St. Blaise, he said the following, “The evangelical part of me rejoices and feels good in the Baptist Church where there are people I love and care about, and the second part, the liturgical and sacramental part of me, is rejoicing to be in the Roman Catholic Church. Therefore, I rejoice that we are reaching out for each other, but we cannot do that by ourselves! Only Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, and His Word, can help us to achieve real fellowship.”
